Accomplishing our mission by planting, adopting, and re-missioning churches.

Planting, Adopting and re-missioning churches

Welcome, Befriend, and Resource

We welcome and gather aliens and strangers through repentance and faith in Jesus as Lord. We befriend and identify with our members in our congregations and commit to walking with us as we embody the kingdom in our assemblies and ministries where we live. We provide resources and certification for those connected to our movement, providing training and acknowledgment for those serving in the name of Christ through our community of churches.

Yes. This is possible and we joyfully partner with churches for the sake of Kingdom expansion. We welcome as Affiliates those churches who share a vision yet do not desire to or are not in a position to become a CCK Church. These Affiliate partner churches can take advantage of our resources and trainings, with the proviso that all CCK Certification is provided to CCK Member Churches only. A Re-missioned Church Plant is a church that recognizes it is either “at-risk” or perhaps “at a significant milestone” and is willing to undergo a significant reassessment of its current status, practices, and vision. This willingness stems from a desire to consider realigning with the mission and values of the Churches of Christ the King (CCK) movement. Essentially, it’s a church that chooses to be “re-planted” with a renewed focus and purpose within the CCK network. Read more . . .

An Adopted Member church or organization is an established ministry, church, or organization that desires to connect, be welcomed into, and to align with the other members of the CCK movement. These entities seek to strengthen their impact and expand their reach through mutual recognition and certification, collaborative efforts, and shared resources, all while maintaining each member’s distinct identity and autonomy. Anyone can participate in the various trainings, offerings, and educational opportunities represented in TTI. To become a student in any TTI training module, unless otherwise listed, only requires an application and Pastor’s Reference form.

However, in order to be officially certified, a student must be a member of an TTI member Church.

To receive official certification within the CCK network you must be a member of a CCK church. This applies especially for our ordination/license level TTI training offerings (e.g., ordination, chaplaincy, church planter, coach/mentor/trainer, and missionary).

Also, as a partner of World Impact, and any student who completes the World Impact regimen for its training programs through TTI participation, will simultaneously be recognized both by World Impact and TTI certifications for that program.

Torchbearers Students may take courses at TUMI satellites and receive credit toward certification for these as well. Through a special recognition agreement, your TUMI credits and coursework can be fully acknowledged within the CCK network, allowing for an expedited path to meaningful ministry certification. Because of your TUMI and/or Evangel studies and graduation, you are eligible for direct entry into CCK’s Torchbearers Institute, our flagship licensing and leadership certification program.

Our certifications are open-ended, meaning that once you qualify in an area, we will recognize that certification indefinitely, with the following exception:

— Your ordination, chaplaincy, or missionary certification can be removed for issues of schism, heresy, immoral behavior, or conduct not deemed to be consistent with the doctrine, practice, and values of the CCK movement.
— If CCK certification is removed, the candidate may appeal for consideration to be evaluated again. Once investigated, certification may be reinstated or continued to be revoked.

Revocation of certification license with CCK results in the removal of the person’s name of the official CCK certified roster of licensed ministers.
