About CCK: Do God’s Story

The city represents a great spiritual entity in today’s world and the Lord is calling a people from the city to represent his kingdom interests.

The Church–A Kingdom Embassy

We believe that the Church has an integral role in both proclaiming and embodying the life of the Kingdom of God in the world. Where Jesus is worshiped as Messiah and Lord in any given community, the Kingdom of God can be seen and felt as they love one another and their neighbors through the Spirit. We intend to make our contribution to God’s mission by planting, rebooting and welcoming CCK churches reflecting Christ and his Kingdom where they are.

Why we Exist, What we seek, How we work

Why We Exist: to glorify the Triune God by announcing his Kingdom reign in Christ.

The kingdom hope of the world is rooted in the revelation of the triune God. Through the messianic king, God’s reign would be brought back into this fallen and sin-cursed world. Jesus of Nazareth is the Kingdom’s presence realized, with God’s reign inaugurated in his incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension. Now, the Kingdom of God is being proclaimed throughout the world by his Church. The Story of the Kingdom is the story of Jesus, and God’s intent is to bring the world back under his rule in him.

The Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
As it was in the beginning,
Is now, and ever shall be,
World without end. Amen, amen.

What We Seek: To be an active kingdom presence in places where Jesus is not known

We attain our purpose by establishing churches that own a biblical theology in our confessional stance (1 Tim. 3.15-16), experience worship in an incarnational presence (Matt. 18.20), follow Christ as disciples in a biblical formational journey (1 Peter 2.9-10), and declare Christ and his kingdom through our own missional witness (Matt. 5.14-16).

“If the average church should suddenly take seriously the notion that every lay member man or woman is really a minister of Christ, we could have something like a revolution in a very short time.”

D. Elton Trueblood

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

1 Peter 2.9-10

How We Work: Belonging, Friendship, Resources

We accomplish our mission through our church network, planting new CCK churches, adopting unattached churches to unite with the CCK movement, and helping churches in transition to join us as viable CCK churches. CCK supports Christian communities where disciples of Jesus are welcomed and resourced in strong relationships of belonging, friendship, acknowledgement through certifications for God’s kingdom purpose.

“To those who are elect exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, according to the foreknowledge of
God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to
Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood:
May grace and peace be multiplied to you.”

1 Peter 1.1-2
