The heart of God beats for these overlooked places where his love has yet to take root, where his people have yet to gather, and where his Kingdom awaits establishment through healthy, life-giving local churches.
What is a CCK Church Plant?
A CCK Church Plant is essentially a deployed church plant team recognized by CCK to launch a new church that is deeply aligned with the vision, values, and mission of the CCK movement. We train our teams through the Ambassadors Center for Church Multiplication of the Torchbearers Institute, or any approved World Impact Evangel School.
The church plant aligns with CCK’s strategic priorities, our commitment to the broken and the hurting, and collaborates with CCK to achieve shared objectives. This alignment manifests in four key aspects:
Confessional Alignment
The church plant adheres to the theological foundations of CCK, the supremacy of Christ, the centrality of the Church, and the finality of the Kingdom of God.
Worship Alignment
The church plant is committed to the Story of God, participates in the spiritual formation practices of CCK network, fosters relationships with other CCK churches and leaders, and contributes to the overall health and growth of the movement.
Formational Alignment
The church plant actively participates in following the Church Year, weekly gathering the believers for mutual edification under pastoral direction and ongoing cultivation of the disciplines in the context of a believing community.
Missional Alignment
The church plant shares CCK’s commitment to make disciples of Jesus Christ, reach the lost, demonstrate hospitality and generosity to those in need, and the seeks the transformation of communities through the Gospel.
Who Can Be A CCK Church Plant?
CCK Church plants that meet the following criteria can qualify as a CCK Church Plant:
• They must be a new church start, or a church revitalization effort that is committed to adopting the CCK vision, values, and mission
• They must have a lead planter who is committed to the CCK network and its leadership
• They must be willing to participate in Ambassador CCK or Evangel Church Plant School training, coaching, and support systems
• They must demonstrate a commitment to both spiritual and financial transparency and answerability
Six Essential Elements of A CCK Church Plant
A CCK Church Plant is Characterized by Six Essential Elements:
Focus on the Story of God
The Story of God, summarized in the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is at the heart of everything the church plant does, from its worship services to its community outreach.
Missional Heartbeat
The church plant is actively engaged in reaching out to the lost and serving the needs of its community.
Disciple-Making Strategy
The church plant is committed to helping people grow in their faith and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Relational Orientation
The church plant affirms the priesthood of all believers, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging, where people can connect with one another and grow together.
Contextualization Priorities
The church plant seeks to understand and engage with the unique culture and context of its community, translating the Story of God in a way that people can both understand and respond to.
Collaborative Approaches
The church plant actively participates in the CCK network and with other likeminded churches and organizations, working together with them to proclaim Christ and to advance the Kingdom of God.
